Port Washington, New York – Songwriter and Producer Jon Goldstein will debut his new musical presentation, Kind Ambition, at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street on January 10, 2024, at 2pm.

In this autobiographical presentation, Goldstein, shares his “true story,” opening up about achievements and challenges, physical calamity, and acceptance of life’s tragedies, all with honesty, humor, and humility.

“I’ve written and produced many original shows,” said Goldstein, “always with a goal of educating or in some way enlightening the audience.” Most recently Goldstein produced South African Singer-Songwriter Toby Tobias’ autobiographical musical Journey from Johannesburg, which has played at tri-state area libraries, colleges, and community centers, including the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County.

“I’ve always hoped to perform my own show,” said Goldstein, 54. “I’ve reached an age now where I have had my share of successes, but more importantly, failures, calamities, and foolish undertakings that have taught me what really matters in this life, as well as how to laugh at myself a little!”

Both in spoken word and the lyrics of his original songs, Goldstein shares a tale that is introspective and vulnerable. Kind Ambition is funny and delivers insight, asking audience members to examine their own triumphs and failings, and to celebrate the “true story” of their own lives.

Landmark on Main Street is located at 232 Main Street, Port Washington, NY 11050. The performance is funded by the New York State Council on the Arts. Admission is free.
