‘JOURNEY FROM JOHANNESBURG’ Launches First U.S. Tour

South African-born songwriter and musician Toby Tobias shares his story of hope during a time of war and upheaval in JOURNEY FROM JOHANNESBURG. On Friday, September 21, Toby departs for his first U.S. tour of this autobiographical musical production.

Toby will perform JOURNEY FROM JOHANESSBURG in Philadelphia, PA; Rockville, MD, Washington, DC; Nashville, TN; Dallas and El Paso, TX; Tucson AZ; and Berkeley, Encino, Foster City, La Jolla, Pleasanton, Redondo Beach, and San Diego, CA.

In JOURNEY FROM JOHANNESBURG, Toby shares the vivid tale of his life in South Africa under the rule of an apartheid government, then in an Israel on the brink of battle for it’s own identity, before finding a home, and many stark parallels, in the United States of America.

JOURNEY FROM JOHANESSBURG has played at The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County, The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, as well as libraries, community centers and houses of worship across Long Island and upstate NY. With the launch of this first US tour, Toby hopes to spread his message of love, understanding, and true harmony amongst all people, to a wider audience.
